2024-25 DWBB Season

I'm most worried about a slow start. If we have one this game, we won't be recovering from it like we've been able to do in others. Get down 15-3 in the first 5 minutes against SC and you might as well turn off the TV.

I agree, although I will issue this caveat: If there is any team at all capable of coming back from a poor start against a top-tier team, it's this Duke crew. Coach Kara's teams just do not give up. Ever. Especially this one. I'm so impressed with the fight I've seen in this team.

Having said that, let's just not start slow, OK?

Watching #16 Cheaterettes vs #15 Kentucky in Carmichael, and that place isn't even half full. Good to know that low attendance for a top team (in a big game) isn't just a Duke thing.

The announcers (so far) are South Carolina homers.

Richardson committed a defensive foul on the first possession of the game and was pulled immediately by Coach.

Courtney Lyle (bio) graduated from Tennessee, and while we think of Carolyn Peck (bio) as a former Purdue coach -- beating Duke in 1999 -- she graduated from Vanderbilt. So both have an SEC point of reference.

Update: South Carolina leads 28-12 after 1Q.

Halftime: South Carolina 51, Duke 31.

Blue Devils better with offensive rebounds (8-5), second chance points (5-4), and nothing else.

Fouls... Duke: Thomas 2, Wood 2. South Carolina: Hall 2, Tessa Johnson 2.

Duke is turning the ball over. Mair makes too many bad decisions

Soft play results in more turnovers. Not looking at a comeback with this performance

Not sure why you're trying to analyze this like a normal game. South Carolina is Thanos, sapping my will to live, and I'm just watching at home.

Put it this way: Geno Auriemma has 1,220 wins, and at least 1,100 of them were predetermined when he woke up that morning. Twenty years ago, Jessica Foley momentarily disrupted the laws of nature and physics.

Geno losing his mind over Foley spurning UConn is one of my favorite storylines ever in women’s hoops.

Dominant teams are gonna dominate. Treat this like the 1990 men’s final and regroup.

At least Duke played them even in the third quarter. South Carolina up 68-48.

Delaney Thomas is the only player on either team with 3 fouls.

Your right but Duke has cut the lead to 10.
