We have 3-4 weeks there at the end of July/beginning of August where it often gets uncomfortably hot and for some reason, we can get a 2 or 3 day blast of hot weather in April. When we get that blast, it has an uncanny ability to come on Marathon Monday. Mother Nature must not like distance runners.

In case you aren't reading the Bard Off thread, the final four in the favorite Shakespeare play tournament are: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, and The Tempest.

Hamlet lost by one vote to Macbeth in the quarterfinals. I seeded the quarterfinals based on margin of victory in the 2nd round which put these 2 powerhouses against each other earlier than expected, but, given the outcome, I'm kinda glad we didn't come down to a Hamlet vs. Macbeth final. I'm sure that's what everybody, including me, was expecting. There are a lot of Shakespeare geeks among my friends plus good acting roles probably influence some of the voting and almost all of my female actor friends want a crack at Lady M.

Shouldn't that be in the Ymm, Pancakes discussion?

It should, if that weren't a typo. Battery-powered.

Typos are the bane to my posting. But then, I don't spend a whole lot of time looking for them, so maybe not.

It could be worse. The bane of my posting is lack of substantive content.

Okay, about to start cooking some chicken schnitzel. Drinking strong dark beer. For me, the right music during the cook is essential.

    ‘What should I listen to?
