    Ha!

But, truthfully, I wouldn't try to get it back from UVM. It's a hard-working smaller public university that manages to do a lot with a lot less. They recognized the brilliance of my sons and gave them decent scholarships, they get to keep the tuition for the whole semester - if it comes to that. So far we haven't heard that they are cancelling classes, but, it's only Monday.

As a single male head of household, I've always underappreciated this sacrifice.

I'm encouraged to see that we San Antonians horde first, then go on vacation.

One could hope but yeah it is a long shot. In theory, they could reduce their variable expenses in the near term...

I didn't hear of cancellations so much as I heard schools extending spring break and going all digital for the rest of the semester.

Why is toilet paper on the short list? I don't get it.

Extended period of time confined to your home? See my reply for a hint.

Jammed at 10:30am. They were restricting toilet paper to two 30 packs/customer, fine.

The checkout lines were halfway back into the store. A long haul of a morning.
Everyone should check their attics for old Sears catalogs. (Folks like me who were raised in a very rural area with no indoor plumbing will maybe understand.)

Gotta be really old - they got too glossy a long time ago.

That reminds me of the little grill that worked on newspaper. As long as there was no color printing/ink.

They replaces the bulb in the street light near my house. It is far brighter than its predecessor. Maybe this is the HOA getting back at me for pushing back on trimming some of my treees.

Seattle is quite a wonderful city.

Landing at 1am and being at work at 7 is not.

Seemed like everything was operating business-as-usual. All the service industry folks we spoke with said business was much slower and they were happy their commute took less time. Lots of locals joking about it as well.

Connected in DC last night and the airport was dead.

Neat trick brought to you by my theater friends. If you're tired of Happy Birthday, this speech takes about 20 seconds to say.

Out, damned spot! Out, I say!—One, two. Why,
then, ’tis time to do ’t. Hell is murky!—Fie, my lord, fie!
A soldier, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it,
when none can call our power to account
Yet who would have thought the old man
to have had so much blood in him.
The thane of Fife had a wife. Where is she now?
What, will these hands ne'er be clean?—No more o' that,
my lord, no more o' that. You mar all with this starting.

Friend’s family left Seattle over the weekend to head down here. They felt it was eerily quiet.

I thought we were supposed to sing our ABC’s?

I miss catalogs, particularly the Christmas ones. AAFES used to have a pretty good one. My favorite was the Computer Shopper of the late ‘80s and early 90’s. It was like 500 11x17 pages of computer stuff!

I'm going to need some serious hand cream for that one.

20 seconds to say for YOU BD.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

It may just take a little:

In the low 80s here today, with mid to high 80s tomorrow. Fans on for air circulation. This is the downside to this area. Sometimes we skip straight to summer. Or as the locals like to say, "That was a nice two weeks of spring."

Note to self: Allen Iverson videos may be a thread killer.
