Yes, a sunroof is usually metal, usually steel, like the rest of the car body.

I transparent convertible top would be ... unusual!

Only the blind will gaze directly at the sun through the open roof.

Early 60's model Chevys had a rear window that was bordered way foward on the roof. You could sit on the rear seat, tilt your head back and star-watch as you traveled.

Congrats, OZ, although I'm not sure there's a universal definition of the phrase and let's just leave it at that...

As for me, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...

Seriously. I love having a sun/moonroof in our vehicles.
That story seems like one of the stories my grandpa would tell me about what it was like growing up in the early 1900's.

    I did make a mistake-I really wasn't barefoot-I was wearing running shoes-with socks.

    I think I need a hat

Found an issue with a sun/moon roof (roof window) - when the shade is open, sun coming in the window is a problem. I'll live with it!

Try it at a different time of day.

    Congrats!

My car also has a moon roof, and I have the same problem. It's great for cool mornings and evenings, though.

Thanks for all the congrats. I'm enjoying the car. I'm not really a car person, so I'm cracking myself up with the enthusiastic reaction I am having to a new car.

The funniest thing it does - if I have done a particularly good job of driving and gotten great mileage on the trip, it will tell me Excellent when I turn off the car. I now have a goal each time I take a drive.

A much more interesting goal than mine, making it home in one piece. Haha!

It's kind of like going to work. You have to do it once in a while just enough realize how good you have it when you're not there. Welcome back!!

I wandered over to the ppb to see what sucked you in. That topic is like the "giant sucking sound". I'm trying to resist the pull, but fear resistance may be futile.
