    Local? We'll claim it, too.

Credit-yep, my card with a tip from RJ199 and/or another 336 resident who shall remain nameless; thanks!!
    Style-ummm
Format-12 ounce can (might be the first time for this variant in aluminum cylinders); a steal (figuratively) at Wegmans for $11.99/4 pack
    Sipping vessel-Stella snifter
Appearance-very, very dark brown; moderate foamy head after a vigorous pour
    Nose-booze, java and baker's chocolate
    Mouthfeel-wait for it, sexual
Tastes-bourbon, espresso and semisweet morsels along with some molasses, wood, burnt caramel and char
    Adjuncts-cocoa and coffee
    IBU-memory says about 75 (FWIW)
ABV-9.6% (too low for accfan and too stout for Nrrrrvous so more for me )
    Overall impression-great combination/nightcap
Ymm, Beer rating-middle third of the top shelf; delighted to find this at the above price, sharing a 4 pack with our son and younger son in law and keeping 4 and cellaring 3.

    Another Burial Beer winner.

Curious to read this month (hopefully) what RJ199, accfan and Nrrrrvous think of this.

From Untappd, which I ASSume, is from the label on the can which I do not have by my side:

"Awakened among the sea of our dire circumstances. Treading water that rises with each dreadful hour. Alone in our boat, fearing the flood. But these tired arms and bailing buckets help keep us afloat. A lesson in adaptability. A meticulously planned blend of our favorite flavors. For survival is encapsulated among the blood that flows within. Our newest blend of the season's best flavors. All the hops, all the grains, and lactose too. Galaxy, Mosaic, El Dorado, Simcoe, Talus, and Citra and Sabro Cryo."

I just had Post Modern Depictions of Natural Phenomena - Burial DIPA - 8.5 %

DDH with Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo, and hefty doses of hand selected Strata, Idaho Gem, and Motueka

    High Category 3. Thanks Devildeac!

I disagree with Untappd again who says 4.4 I'd say at least 4.5. It's that good.

Very hoppy and smooth. fuse will love this one! It's a consummate, perfect Burial product. Pineapple and tropical juicy up front. Smooth, juicy, creamy, oaty, flavorful for days.

    Loved it - thanks!

    In a word, Phenomenal

    You're most welcome!

Who is this fuse of whom you speak?

Bought four 4 packs without tasting a couple weeks ago and the first two have been excellent. Two went to RVA, I kept one and you got the fourth one.

I still have this one and the TIPA to taste, both of which are likely to wait until next week.

I think I stuck this in the fridge yesterday for possible consumption before/during the weekend.

    For macro lagers:

"Go cold — anywhere in the 33- to 40-degree range is suitable for macro lagers. This is around your average refrigerator temperature, with 33 degrees, near freezing, on the low end. Your sweet spot is really between 36 and 38 degrees, which is the temperature of most draft beer systems."

    For other lagers:

"For most lagers and pilsners, 38 degrees is ideally your low point. Anywhere up to the low-to-mid 40s is fair game. “[Pilsners] are more traditionally [served at] 38 degrees, and are probably best suited there,” Bachli says. “But for really hoppy American styles or IPLs [India Pale Lagers], the same holds true for those [as for NEIPAs] — you definitely get more expression with the hops as the beer warms up.”

My husband wants to start brewing Lagers but does not have the proper temperature control ability for lagering.

Should I let him buy a kegerator or mini fridge?

Lagers, despite their "simple" or "boring" nature are difficult to brew for just that reason: temperature control. Ales can ferment at a variety of temperatures as he probably already knows.

If you allow him to buy a kegerator or mini-fridge, my strong suggestion would be finding one guaranteed not to explode.
