Multiply that 5 minutes by 9, and you’ve described the first half.

Pulled a lot of weeds and invasives. Sweated hard. Nice and dirty. Sneaking the rare solo lunch and beer.

Supposed to hit you midweek? Just grab a sharpie and redirect it. That’s how weather works.

You've got a few days to prep and the path is still a bit uncertain. How far out on the 'handle are you?

For some people the cone of uncertainty is both very real, and not purely related to meteorological events.

Correct. There is a great Yogi Berra story where he was in elementary school and got 0 answers correct on a test. His teacher quipped: "Yogi. Do you not know anything?" Yogi replied: "No ma'am. I don't even suspect anything." I don't care if its apocryphal.

Between Tampa Bay and Cedar Key. And on the coast. It’s almost a given it will hit somewhere in Florida, but we probably won’t have a good idea of where until Sunday night or Monday. Forecasting has made huge leaps over the last couple of decades, but you never really know exactly where a hurricane is going to come ashore until the final hours.

Fiona is my favorite girl's name.

If I'd ever had a daughter, however, my husband would have vetoed that name. I suppose it's good that we never had to have that fight.

Not a big Fiona fan. Mostly on associating too strongly w/ Fiona Apple and Princess Fiona.

Oh, from your posts in the 2020 Election thread, I figured you were out in the handle. Years ago, I had grandparents inland in Zephyrhills. Visiting them always meant a slide over to Disney World, so I was good with that.
