I'll just settle on giving Grover an extra squeeze.

Got him at Macy's when Duke was playing in MSG in 2004.

    God, I miss Jim Henson!

Grover is one of my main mofos too. I especially like his Super persona.

I'm still bummed that my Oscar the Grouch talking alarm clock lost its voice over a summer in storage on Central Campus. I think I still have it in a box in the basement - but voiceless.

I'll have to look - maybe the laryngitis has been cured. I can still hear him "Ring! Ring! Hey - get up there. It's time to get up for another grouchy day. Ring! Ring!". It kept going until you turned it off - no snooze. I have to confess that it was annoying enough that the click before it started talking would wake me up. i miss that clock.

Put some lemon and honey in chamomile tea. Should help get its voice back.

When I did it out of the box that has been stashed in the corner of the basement for 30+ years, I'll try it.

There is always the chance that I did get rid of it at some point but I really hope I didn't.

Don’t know if you’re aware but they actually have flashlights that don’t do that, they just shine.

When my dad got a cold, he mixed lemon and honey with moonshine. (We lived in a dry county, and the police chief provided confiscated hooch to my dad as a courtesy). For some reason, my dad’s cough (which sounded fake) lingered for weeks, or at least until his “medicine” ran out.

I very nearly dumped coffee on my laptop a little while ago.
That would not have been the first time.

Time to head to Charlotte and visit the parents. Duke class of '68 I believe.

My Scottish family insists on hot totties when sick. They do help.

A toddy is a go-to for me as well. Chamomile tea, heavy lemon & honey, and a generous slosh of bourbon/brandy/dark rum. Gets the job done.
