Had to get a standard drug test for the new gig this AM. I roasted and ate lots of beets last night to go with my turkey soup. When beets go in me, they color everything that comes out me. The nurse taking my sample gave me a hard, multi-beat side eye when I emerged from the restroom with hot pink pee in a cup.

Guess we'll see if it does more than liven up the color scheme. I didn't think through my meal last night though!

Tell her you are in a fight club, but you can't talk about it.

I don't eat beets. They are like the 23rd best vegetable.

Man, I think they’re great! Not the packaged stuff, fresh roasted. Toss em with blue cheese, walnuts, and a balsamic maple drizzle. Just like heaven.

I used to feel this way as well but I definitely love roasted beets. My mother used to boil brussel sprouts and they were absolutely gross. Now that I have learned the beauty of roasting those suckers they are my favorite vegetable. It's all in the preparation.

You haven't had my wife's borscht. Well, I assume you haven't.

To be fair, it would be weird if you have.

It depends on the answer but this thread could take a super weird turn here in a bit.

Beets are delicious!! I eat all manner of beets, but, to be fair, I don't consume mass quantities in one sitting.

Careful, or someone will start a Ymm, Beets thread.

You mean there isn't one already!?!

Maybe a Yecch, (insert food here) thread should be started for all those recent threads.

I assume this was a setup for me and I am happy to take this. We already have it for turkey.

I used the term "Dutch oven" in one of the pronunciation threads. I was not discussing food.

Pickles are under appreciated. They can be a lot of fun, have a nice bit o’ garlic or zest and have a very satisfying crunch.

Hmmmm. I'm now sure how to tackle Ycch from a pronunciation perspective. I don't think it would work just sort of going for it, ya know?

Jay was looking for a new cooking tool a couple days ago.
