It’s pretty amazing doing a video call with someone in China with no lag. Advanced technology is magic as far as I’m concerned.

Agreed. I was consulting in Qatar via Teams last week and it was a seamless video conference. I did probably set back international relations a bit, but that's on me.

I would accept the nomination of Bill The Cat for best character as well.
Bill was my hero, had a great Bill the Cat T-shirt...

I believe I have had this conversation on DBR before, but here is the one I have:

I also have one that may have been homemade locally. A lot of blue and purple paint splatters with Bill coming in from the side. Pretty loud, but it was a gift.

crispy corned beef hash with a runny egg on top, perfect for a 30 degree, snowy windy day! Plus I scraped the crust off my desktop...(didn't eat it)

Agreed. In my new role at work I am going to set up a trip to Vermont. I don't have any idea if they need anything, I just want to eat with Budwom.

My wife and I wryly (but happily) note that our Covid day consists of three major segments: 1) morning: read paper, sip coffee, discuss the evening menu, go for a two hour walk. 2) read all afternoon and perform household chores. 3) cocktail hour, eat aforementioned meal, watch evening news and some other Netflix type TV. Yeah, it's taken on an oversized role in our lives, but it's our way of coping with current realities.

I’d like to have that schedule be an option within a decade.

we're fortunate to be retired (though we did work for it). Looking forward to more social interaction, of course, the occasional restaurant meal (it's been 57 weeks since our last one)...but as routines go, it's helped us stay relatively sane.

FWIW, I do not believe. Or do I?

I believe Budwom is retired. Why would you not believe him? Seems like a good dude and has good culinary predilections.
