    Welcome to March Madness.
Both are understandable. That's one I would've loved to see live, though. It would be interesting to see whose performances look as good live as they do on TV. Seems like some aspects of performance just don't translate to TV very well. I've heard that a skater's speed is really distorted on TV and that some of them skate at an absolute crawl if you're watching live.

    Make that three!

I will say, though, that if unc makes it past OK, I'd rather see them win it all than the UConnVicts. That may be blasphemy, but that's the way it is. Say what you will about Old Roy, but he runs a cleaner program that Calhoun does. Don't get me wrong - I'm still all for ABC. If the final comes down to unc and UConn, I'll be pulling for unc. YMMV

As much as I despise what calhoun represents, there is no way I could pull for unc even against uconn. If unc wins it all, I will have to put up with their insufferable fans for a year. I am so sick of their insufferable fans.

    In the meantime: BOOMER SOONER!!!!

As I told several carolina fan 'friends' today, if they win it all, I'll congratulate them, but I'm not gonna root for them.
    Ozzie, your paradigm of optimism!

Whoever I root for seems to tank (with 1 exception), so I think I'll root for UCon & UNC.

I like your strategy, Sue! Maybe this is the path I should follow as well. Although, I must say, the thought of cheering for unc leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.

    Maybe rooting/cheering are strong words...

Yes, rooting for their demise doesn't seem appropriate either. Or does it?

A long time ago, pre-marriage, I had a roommate who was a graduate of Michigan State. We reached an agreement in the house, she would root for Duke Basketball, I would root for Michigan State Football. I bought her a Duke sweatshirt, she bought me a Michigan State sweatshirt, and that was that. It's a no brainer for me who I'm rooting for, even though technically it's not the right sport, all other things being equal, I always root for Michigan State. (We did have the rule that when they played each other, we could revert to our natural tendencies.) GO SPARTANS!!!!!!!

(She still pulls for Duke too.)
