I lied that the turkey was all gone. Got a scoop of giblet gravy left, going on eggs and toast this AM. THEN, we're calling it.

11 days of turkey? I went 4 which is about normal for me from a big protein main course like a roast, etc.

The in-laws were supposed to come, then they didn't for COVID safety reasons. I bought the bird when I thought I was feeding more people.

Still have a quart of stock but put it in the freezer.

Giant CycloBomb Nor'Easter dumped all of about one sixty-fourth of an inch of snow on us, like confectioner's sugar on a cruller.

And an aside — I think Eminem’s sampling of Dido’s Thank You in Stan is incredible. I want to dislike it, but it really is powerful and well-done. (Not a subject matter endorsement — just an artistic observation).

    Guesses? No cheating!

On Friday night, DBR discussed the above. On Saturday night, SNL aired the below. I don't want to overstate things but DBR has its fingers on the pulse of our zeitgeist and may be singlehandedly responsible for shaping popular culture. There is no other explanation.

Back to the more plebian tasks, sunny and mid-70s for most of this week. Of course, I spent much of the weekend working and will be inside for the week also...

That is a really cute dog!
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

I managed to never get a Prez Thread related infraction this time around. I got one in 2016, minor, and I didn't lose posting privileges, but still. It's probably for the best that the thread got shut down.
