I'm just curious: how much do those things run? How many pounds of Carnegie pastrami?

Let's put it this way - I have one that I inherited from my mother. Does that give you an idea? Actually, I've seen more expensive bags but they were b*tt ugly and Coach bags aren't ugly.

Ouch. Here's an answer to my own question. http://www.coach.com/Content/collect...categoryId=365

But to put things into perspective, most are a lot less than a new r7 driver.

I could probably cram about ten pounds of Pastrami into a large Zoe bag.

    Oooh! Road trip!

As a side note to the salmonella police, I finished the leftovers today for lunch. I'll let you know if I have any problems...

I wasn't trying to deceive. I just cut out the middle man, my husband. He's in line for the world's worst gift giver. In truth, he was glad he didn't have to do the shopping himself.

Cost? Can we divide it by the number of times he didn't get me anything for our anniversary? Can I add in the number of times he skipped my birthday too? If so, it's downright cheap.

That said, he did a great job for Christmas this year.

And I always tell him, he doesn't have to be elaborate, I just want tangible proof that he thinks about me, every once in awhile. But yeah, this time, it was just a great excuse to buy myself a nice bag.

A bird feeder, some specialty knitting needles, and a clay teapot made in Ireland. The teapot was from the boys as well.

He got a new jacket to replace his old frayed one and a bottle of single malt scotch - Towmore. It's a Speyside for you scotch drinkers around here. The boys gave him a Starbucks coffee gift pack.

What can/will you make with the specialty knitting needles?

See the discussion between me and Sue71 about her flight to Vegas. It was my suggestion. Of course, I really wanted "hair tight" containers and not air tight containers. But only if that would keep the dander in.

I used to work for Coach, so I have a collection. These days, I won't buy one unless it's from the outlet store. And marked down even further.

Chloe was the hit of my flight home. Of course, I think it may have been her last since the whole trip was traumatic for her. Unless I drug her. We'll see.

Ok, that is a faux site. Not a Coach site.

I go to the outlet in LV. Good stuff.

Scarves of course. Remember, way back when, I promised them by Christmas 2009, I'm on pace.

Pastrami -- the other red meat!

ETA: Of course, the "other" other red meat is corned beef

OMG, since I posted last, the thread grew by about 700 posts! I got home (and online) last Wed. I've just now caught up! Good summary, Fish.

Big congrats on the house, Tilly - how exciting!

I have my mom pick them up at the Marine PX at Henderson Hall in NoVA. Deep discounts, occasional big sales, and no taxes. I love my signature hobo bag.
