I missed every class after the 2001 Natty. Worth it.
In one of my Spring 2001 religion classes, we informed the professor on the Thursday prior to the Final Four (this was a Tuesday-Thursday class) that it was customary to cancel classes the day after a Duke national championship, whereupon he responded, wryly he thought, "Well then, I hope we lose."

To this day, that's the closest I believe I've ever come to seeing a human being torn limb from limb by a hostile mob.

Yeah. My NSOE professor kept her class. I did not go.

It wasn't until 10 AM so I struggled through but made it there.

What’s the longest gap between LTE posts? 12 hours seems like a lot but I bet it’s gone a few days.

Ugggh! It was too long. I have been preoccupied. I'm letting people down on here.

Just got home. I loved Calgary. Pretty city. Also the folks from one of the hospitals took me out to dinner one night. That was very nice.

I assume you didn't make the drive to Banff from Calgary. Lake Louise and Banff are gorgeous.

My wife goes there most years for a piano teacher’s conference. Can’t wait to join her in the next few years.

Now that you've seen them, do you prefer the Bow or the Elbow? It's the Hatfield versus McCoys of Calgary rivers, I hear.

Here was the view from my hotel in Banff. It's hard to take a bad picture.
