I pulled out the big guns for dinner tonight: Italian sausages, peppers, onions and garlic with a small splash of dry vermouth to bring the liquid up a bit. Soft but crispy long rolls and a green salad.

Times like these call for the comforts of food.

Will be moving to Seattle in late summer/early fall.

Both excited and nervous. Never lived outside of the midwest before.

Going to ask and see if I can do my job remotely. For a little while at least. Not sure how it will fly, but my team already has members in Europe...

Crushed and peeled, tossed in whole as the onions and peppers steam/saute. Lowers the chance of scorching the garlic.

There are never any leftovers when the sausage and peppers are served.

And no, turkey sausage does not do the deed.

    Turkey sausage isn't bad.

Turkey bacon is an affront to nature.

I enjoyed the 5 months I was there. It was May through October, so didn’t get all the doom and gloom.

I get a turkey burger at work every once in a while. They are subsidized and are good with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and extra mustard. Wouldn’t dare try one naked.

May through October is lovely. October through May, well, find an indoor hobby. Following Seahawks football is a good one!

Naked dining is not so bad. Try it some time.

So... What's on anyone's mind these days? This thread got mighty quiet the last two weeks.

I am trying, really hard, to care about whether or not aprixiban is a better anti-coagulant to prescribe instead of warfarin in patients with chronic kidney disease who also have a-fib.

I have to pull the patients off from a claims dataset. Tedious. But, I'm getting paid and I can work from home.

The person who knows the data best is working from home - in Switzerland.

    Here's how my workday goes.

    1) Log on, read the email from last night that was probably sent early morning in Switzerland.
    2) Think to myself "Great, I will make progress today!"
    3) Work for an hour to an hour and a half until the next question comes up.
    4) Email co-worker in Switzerland.
    5) Check email 3 - 4 times during the rest of the day.
    6) Check one last time before going to bed.
    7) Repeat.

Too much time in the investment thread.

Maybe not bad but not that good either. I use it but it's quick to dry out. I guess you could throw the turkey sausage in towards the end of cooking.

And as to naked dining, does that include naked cooking, too?

I'm strongly opposed to naked cooking.
