This is a fact. The American south is known for hospitality and friendliness, but I think a lot of us are not sincere. Canadians are genuinely nice people.

“I am one of the 7 billion human beings alive today. We each have a responsibility to think about humanity and the good of the world because it affects our own future. We weren’t born on this planet at this time to create problems but to bring about some benefit.”

    — the Dalai Lama on Twitter this morning.

Still blows my mind that I live in a world where that can happen.

Where ??? can happen? The Dalai Lama can post his thoughts for all to see?

I did quote Sir Mick with sha doobie shattered a few posts above this. So, there is that also.

When Mrs.PK was still FlingPK, we saw the Stones. Afterwards at my house, we were discussing what "sha-ruby" meant. I pulled out a dictionary, flipped through it, and said "here it is . . . it means gullible."

"It does?" the love of my life responded earnestly.

I knew we were perfect for each other from that moment on. (And she ultimately forgave me after giving me a Charlie Horse).

And yeah, the fact that I was sitting in my kitchen drinking coffee when the Dalai Lama communicated to me from afar blows my mind. Unga Galunga.

Except when our ice dancers beat their ice dancers for the Olympic gold medal. (Remember colchar?)

Not healthy. But yummy and fun.

They take forever as best I can tell, will be cooking all day.

Mild peppers are about done, hot peppers soon.

If you live in west Tejas you can get them, I’m jealous. I have mine shipped from the grower in Hatch. Most “Hatch peppers” you find are like “Vidalia onions” — not really.

I'm in South Central but there isn't much between here and there. Pepper selection far exceeds my knowledge base.

FYI, it's HATCH PEPPER WEEK at Wegmans!!!!

He cared very, very deeply about the 2014 Ice Dancing gold medal that went to Davis & White over Virtue & Moir. But he unfriended me on FB because of the gold medal hockey game. When I found out that all but 3 of the players on the "Canadian" Women's Olympic hockey team played on scholarship at US colleges, I asked, "What does it even mean to skate for Canada if your training is being provided by the American taxpayer?" That's about when he stopped posting here too.

Hmm, I haven't watched the last 4 or 5 Winter Olympics.
