Degenerate Gamblers for the 2020 Masters

We need to get a contest going for this week's event.

MKirsh -- are you up to doing this?

Yessir! Still bleary eyed from last week but wouldn’t miss it

    The rules:
    1. You have thirty OWGR "points" to spend on picking a team.
    2. You can pick any player in the field - it's not a draft, so in theory you could have the exact same team as someone else.
    3. You can pick up to 10 players, not more.
    4. Each player's "cost" is their OWGR points total rounded down. So, Dustin Johnson "costs" 10: Jon Rahm - 10; Justin Thomas - 8; etc.
    5. Anyone whose OWGR points is less than 2, costs 2. In other words, no player in the field costs less than 2.
    6. Your final score is based on a total of the money won by all the players on your team. If one of your players misses the cut, you get 0 for that player.
    7. As a tiebreaker, you also pick the winning score relative to par (e.g., -12).

Deadline to submit picks is Wednesday at midnight.

    Good luck

Okay fine. I'll jump in on this round, because you all always seem to have so much fun with it.

I'll do some analysis and put something together soon.

Masters in November! I'm sort of intrigued from a visual standpoint as much as anything else.

    I'm in.

Justin Thomas (almost 9 points for the cost of an 8)
    Rory McIroy
    Patrick Reed
    Bruce Koepka
    Daniel Berger

Hovland isn't in the field - the event he won in Feb was an opposite field event so he didn't get the invite

Berger not playing this week (nor "Bruce" Koepka for that matter - but I know what you mean. When I read Bruce Koepka it took me a minute to remember what his real name is)

OK looks like I'll need to actually put time into picking . I'll be back. And I have no idea how to account for 'Bruce' either...
