In any event... looks like a party of... 2.
Hey! How come you are celebrating his birthday and not yours too?

Hey, I'm always willing to receive undue credit.

It is a great suggestion. Everyone is happier with sangria.

Eventually she will find out about all of us, especially the Atlanta Mafia.

    That would be scary.

    Obvious suggestion

Don't plan on a date when there is a Duke Basketball game going on... at least for right now.

    Agreed!!!

I think I need to start an advice column. In a political blog. In which I muse on legal history. And discuss my favorite works of fiction.

Oh wait, I have DBR. Nevermind.

I don't need no stinkin' birthday.

At least have cake! You don't have to tell anyone else why.

And Wilson, remember there's only one deal-breaker, no Tarheels. You might want to find out about that. I know DukePA, and I don't know how you do it. I'd rather date a vampire. Yes, I just got through reading that whole Twilight Saga thing. As Sue already knows, my advice if you haven't read it yet, don't. It's not worth it. I HATED the last book. It's ruined my entire day.

Let this be my first PW. I don't think I've done this before... be gentle.

The world needs more puppies, so gratuitous repost of this. Yes, I am obsessed.

Age is just a number. The only way to skip a birthday is to quit breathing - not an alternative I'm after at the moment.

Bask in the glory of being another year wiser and more wonderful.

    Congrats on your first PW.

You can also both agree to try something outrageous for fun, like an octopus dish, and toss it away if you don't like it since the individual plates typically aren't very expensive.

The atmosphere at tapas restaurants is usually nice, but not formal, with enough background nosie to avoid uncomfortable silence but not so loud as to be distracting.

Sangria is almost always a must at a tapas bar, so the alcohol selection is both easy to make and relatively inexpensive.
    Genius. Pure Genius!

I didn't check this out yesterday. Is streaming? It's not a video?

Show up to the first date fully dressed in your pirate outfit. When you meet, ask her, "Arrrrrrrrrrrrr you ready for a good time?"

Birthdays remind me of what I haven't done/accomplished. They bum me out.
