    I hear they’re not actually French just annoyingly Francophile.
    So a touch snooty and condescending to American dogs?

    And really into Voltaire.

    I have had several sets of seats recovered. Always in vinyl like original.

    Did you remember that I have a weird Voltaire fetish? If so I am super impressed.

    Curbside just informed me that they had to substitute crunchy for the extra crunchy I ordered. Should I politely decline?

    Let me not to the marriage of true minds
    Admit impediments. Love is not love
    Which alters when it alteration finds,
    Or bends with the remover to remove.
    O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
    That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
    It is the star to every wand'ring barque,
    Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
    Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
    Within his bending sickle's compass come;
    Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
    But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
    If this be error and upon me prov'd,
    I never writ, nor no man ever lov'd.

    Do you get an even number of slices of bread in a loaf from a commercial bakery?

    This is the best question since sliced bread.

    That's truly one of the stranger stories in a twelve month stretch of very strange stories.

    Not common but not unusual around here, more often dogs are stolen out of yards and then “found” when a reward is offered.

    But usually dog walkers aren't shot as part of that scam, I assume.

    Not usually, my comment was mainly around the dognapping part.

    just in the door with Holly the Labrador, only to find that Mrs. Womble is midway thru whipping up a gorgeous lemon meringue pie! And lamb chili as a prelude...
