Ugggh. And it veers awfully close to relaxing. Not interested.

It took some practice but I got there eventually. Now it is quite easy.

So if you wanted to you could get to serenity, like now?

I strongly agree with one of these statements, and strongly disagree with the other.

I wouldn't say it is serenity, but a much more relaxed state is within reach in a couple minutes. I have an inexpensive watch that tracks heart rate. It is pretty good evidence and does provide feedback.

I'm more like Budwom. I relax by hiking out in nature. I also have an obscene amount of alone time for someone with a family he actually likes and a job with lots of in person work.

    It's endemic in our kind.

I find deep stretching to be more relaxing actually.

I think I am generally about as limber as a 2x4. This 500 pushups a day thing has not made me more limber.

Good for you. My mind still goes a mile a minute or I fall asleep or that “No scrubs...” song pops up from the recesses of my inner sanctum.

I made my initial argument for crunchy years back on these boards, but maybe it merits repeating.

When you smear it between two Nilla wafers, crunchy holds it in when you bite into it. Smooth just squirts right out.

I've read about some home builder who are in deep doo-doo because they quoted firm prices on new homes and failed to anticipate this issue...I had some minor work done last summer, my carpentry savant said he couldn't find any pressure treated lumber, had to raid his scrap pile.
