Hopefully we will get a few more entries, but with 10 teams submitted Rory and Fleetwood are the most popular choices appearing on 6 of 10 teams, with Tiger and Rickie on 5, followed by Finau, Spieth, and Bubba on 4.
Rory is also the oddmakers favorite at 8/1 followed by DJ at 11/1 and Rose at 14/1. I'm a huge fan of Rory's and hope he wins (also pulling for Rickie), but I left him off my team for 4 reasons. First, he seems to have created an issue for himself on Sundays, only winning 1 of the last 10 events where he had the Sunday lead, which was the Players this year where his final round was rocky and he barely hung on to win. Second is Augusta, where he still has the demons from 2011 and has struggled on the back nine when in contention. Third is Tiger, who Rory struggles with - Rory played terribly in the final round of the Tour Championship last fall when paired with Tiger, and he imploded against him in the match play a few weeks ago. While Rory isn't playing with him the first two days, he is playing in the group right behind tomorrow and will have to deal with Tiger's galleries and see every birdie Tiger makes. And, finally, the odds-on favorite hasn't won the Masters since 2005 when Tiger took the green jacket. Again I would love to come back and eat crow on Sunday night but can't bet with Rory this year.
Other interesting Master's tidbits:
I didn't know Keopka had lost 20+ lbs (allegedly to be in the ESPN body issue) which cost him 10+ yards of distance and his "feel". Yikes. Though he does thrive in an underdog role, this might be too big of a hole to dig out of.
Re-hash of the Reed family drama at Augusta. I knew it was bad, but didn't realize he had his family thrown out of events by security before. Very sad.
In lighter news, I know this bit is getting a little long in the tooth at this point, but I still enjoy Conor Moore's PGA impressions.
Can't wait for tomorrow - got my sweet tea, pimento cheese, and egg salad ready to go!
I'm kind of on board with mkirsh, but for different reasons. I'd like to see McIlroy win and his play this year very much justifies him being the betting favorite right now. In fact, I took his win at the Players the opposite way - he had to grind it out and make some birdies and big shots coming home, which he hasn't had to do in 3 of his 4 major wins. I thought he showed some real grit there, that could serve him well if he got into a dogfight on Sunday afternoon at Augusta. But I'm not putting him on my team here because it's becoming too hard to differentiate an entry with him on it in this contest. So, I'll go with:
DJ - 9
Rahm - 5
Casey - 5
Leishman - 4
Kisner - 3
Aphibarnrat - 2
Kim - 2
Rose 9
Rory 8
Rickie 5
Rahm 5
joRdan 3
Tiebreak -11 (in deference to Spinal Tap)
Kid (literally, he turns 21 today) working at my bank saw my Masters shirt and told me about some tweaks his friends put in their pool, which also goes by World Golf Rankings. They do the 4 majors and the Players, and you pick 5 players each tournament...but once you pick a player for a tournament, you can't pick him again. So the guys that picked Rory for the Players are off to a big lead, but Rory is off their boards now. Also, anyone ranked below #16 gets his earnings for the tournament doubled.
Just found it interesting, not suggesting mr. synellinden should change anything.
Justin Rose 9

Coach K on Kyle Singler - "What position does he play? ... He plays winner."
"Duke is never the underdog" - Quinn Cook
Yikes, tbyers11 picked almost the exact team. This does not bode well for tbyers11.
McIkroy - 8
Molinari - 7
Fowler - 5
Finau - 4
Scott - 3
Spieth - 3
Winning score: -10
After day one...
Rory McIlroy +1 - Not totally awful but not makin' me happy
Bryson DeChambeau - 6 and in lead
Tiger Woods -2 tied for 11 solid start
Matt Kuchar -1 I'm happy with under on day one
Bubba Watson E - Nothing to cheer nor complain about
Eddie Pepperrell +2 Step it up, Eddie
Currently have the leader and a couple contenders, that's a decent day.
How are the other teams doing?

Team Green status:
Rickie Fowler - (-2)
Tommy Fleetwood - (-1)
Xander Schauffele - (+1)
Jason Day - (-2)
Bubba Watson - (E)
Matt Kuchar - (-1)
Jordan Spieth - (+3)
Spieth is in danger of not making the cut plus none of my team is in the Top 10 so I'm looking for a better performance today.
