I moved my entire CD collection, at full redbook quality, onto my phone. I can stream it to a couple different old-fashioned stereos in my house. I tend to play "phone roulette" when I'm in my car, which can lead to some truly odd sequences. I've moved consecutively from Mahler, to Rush, to ABBA, to Bruna Viola (Brazilian country music) in one trip. And I also have 6 CDs in the queue to rip and upload.

But, to call back to the question before, I still just am not a huge fan of the Beatles. I want to like them, but they're just meh. There's not much music that I out-and-out hate, though. Except rap. I do truly hate rap.

What format did you encode with?

Years ago (when storage was expensive), I did MP3s with good vbr. I'm thinking of redoing my entire collection. It's so damned tedious, though!

My music tastes are very eclectic as well. Last five artists listened to: Brandi Carlile, Prince, Wilco, Mastodon, The 1975.

anyone ever see Tangerine Dream in concert? Unique and amazing, but the founder and guiding force died a few years ago.

I use ALAC. Compressed, but fully lossless.

Edit: I maybe should add that I got too much storage on my phone because when my old one died, they didn't have the model I really wanted in stock. I paid a bit extra to walk out of the store that day, but with double the storage I intended to have. So, everything fits. I had been using high bit-rate AAC, but I could tell the difference. I can't with ALAC.
