If you stare a cat in the eyes, then squint your eyes, the cat will most likely respond by squinting there eyes as well, a gesture of kindness and trust. Anywho, if the above is true, and you consider that those allergic to cats are most likely to avoid direct eye contact with cats, then you can surmise that cat-allergy-sufferers might actually encourage the attention of cats by ignoring them. Try staring them directly in the eyes, maybe they'll feel threatened and leave you alone.
