If you are typing here after changing the light and taking a swim, you did good.

Pool's empty, getting all the plumbing redone and a new liner and fixing the electrical. It had a lot of issues. I will probably not buy a house w/ a pool again.

Seriously, my wife is due in 3 weeks and we are trying to finish the pool remodel, put in a new water line to support the new fridge, rearrange the garage for the old fridge, rearranging the home office basement, putting up a new cupboard and all other manner of honey do items. It's a bit much.

I'm comforting myself with marinated steak tips from my favorite local butcher.

A house with a pool is a very mixed bag.

Source: paid a lot of money to have my pool collapsed several years ago.

Yeah, I remember you saying that. Hopefully we'll have many years of maintenance free after this investment but I'd be just fine not owning a pool. We weren't looking for a house that had one, the house we liked just happened to have one.

    Oh well, here we are.

My steak tips were very tasty. Lil compound butter, lil roasted garlic...just like heaven.

Pre cast concrete seems like a reasonable option if one can live with the smaller form factors.

10×20 is their largest size. Still not cheap but having watched the multi month process for in ground installs and given yard sizes here (many 0.20 and smaller) that may be big enough.

And now truth follows fiction, as anyone cognizant of the Beveraly Hillbillies can tell you, what with their famous See-ment pond! I thought that was only a Kentucky thing...
