And then I went and read the coronavirus thread, and posted something. And now I'm depressed. Again.

I am looking forward to the start of the Tour de France on Saturday with an insane amount of anticipation. For 3 weeks I get to spend my mornings cheering for whoever is leading the breakaway group to hang on, just like I do every year.

It is one of my favorite sporting events. I usually catch the night recaps. A quiet room, some wine, and some Phil Liggett who could make laundry sound interesting.

I'm guessing the crowds won't be there this year.

    I won't miss them.

And I use it as an excuse to drink French wine.

The Dauphine had some crowds so it will be interesting to see how many turn out for le Tour.

MrsPK and I decided we are retiring to the French Alps, particularly Annecy.

Never been there, but that’s the spot.

Never been to Brittany. Got to Bayeux and some locales in Normandy.

Saumur in the Loire Valley is pretty cool, enjoyed that.

I've been to Bayeux and seen the tapestry. You should do Brittany on your next trip to France. St. Malo, Dinan, the Carnac Stones.

San Antonio hotels are fairly busy this evening. Residents of Beaumont, TX and surrounding areas have evacuates in advance of Laura

We will be hot and sunny. All the weather is expected to be to the east of us.

It's an exciting day for The Drewsk. He was explaining to me earlier how things were able to escalate so quickly.

    He used an escalator?

Or should I ask how T-Bone felt about that?

My new dishwasher is on backorder. Until October or December or something. I got a dish drainer for the counter...
