    I forgot: you're pro-climate change.

    Hey BD,

As if you didn't have enough online distractions (as well as offline), but I hear that this site: http://www.ravelry.com/ is really addicting.

A friend told me it's for knitting (and crochet) folks to share their projects, drool over 'dream yarns,' etc.

Was it really 60 in Boston today? The last time I was in Boston in January (1992, iirc), it was below 0 most of the time I was there.

    Already a member.

It reached 67 at Logan yesterday and yes, it was a record although today's high is projected to be 10 degrees lower and we may have snow by next week. Ah, New England, here it's true that if you don't like the weather, wait a minute.

    Scarf love EarlJam.

    Me, EarlJam, and the scarf.

Come to me scarf, my lover.

I think I just learned a little too much about EarlJam!

Please send the scarf to Kansas - along with lessons. I want to re-learn to knit and crochet.

Yes. It was horrible. It's going to be 60 again today, but it was in the single digits a week ago. That's New England weather for you.

Yes, having tornadoes and severe thunderstorms all over the country in January is faboo.

Throaty wins my POTD vote, for being the first person I've seen to use the word 'faboo' in a post.

Throaty speaks like a poet, but he fights like one, too.

    Yes... but he is courageous.

Throaty once challenged Patrick Davidson to a fight. Throaty even showed up... granted, he was drunk off of Pepsi 152 in order to numb the pain, but he showed.

Patrick was unable to make it, however, because he was busy fathering the 2021 National Championship Duke University Mens and Womens Basketball teams that night.

Oddly enough... there will be no siblings or twins on those teams. And they will each have 12 scholarship players and a walk on.

MulletMan should win the scarf on the strength of that entry alone. What would the longest thread ever be without Patrick Davidson.

I think we should have a showdown between those who mostly post on the main board and those who mostly cruise off-topic land. I would be willing to bet that there's a rather distinct breakdown.

Perhaps we could start posting trash-talking messages on the main board about how much cooler off-topic is. Then we wouldn't be dorks at all.

Do not taunt the longest thread ever. It will cloud your mind and haunt your dreams.

Do not taunt happy fun ball.

We are in 3rd place with this thread, very close to 2nd, but longest thread ever on these boards is still a ways away. Of course, the longest thread ever is about football, isn't there something wrong with that?

    Longest thread

What's the record for the longest thread of yarn? And how long is the yarn in the scarf Bostondevil is making for me?
