I suspect it won't change a thing for you.

I've used it on a more prolific poster and it made many threads nearly impossible to read.

I may actually have done something Aimo. I did joke about your post in the words I don't like thread. I sincerely hope that didn't offend you. I was trying to be funny.

I haven't seen CameronDuke lately, after s/he called someone a "retard" in the UVA post game thread. That thread was among the worst I've seen in all my years on DBR.

Yikes. I’ll avoid that one then. I typically avoid the loss threads, TBH.

Used to be people would go on the loss threads and commiserate and try to find silver linings or talk about improving. Whenever I was bummed about a loss I would go on and it would make me feel better. No longer the case. This one was name calling, negativity, and personal attacks. There were a few one spork posters who I suspect were trolls trying to spur on negativity (and doing a good job of it).

This board gets SO testy after a loss. Across all subjects.

I’ve never “ignored” anyone. Wonder if you could do it to all the mods? A DBR loophole to get around infractions? If that were the case, look out, I would weave a tapestry of obscenity big enough to fill CIS.

That just means you wouldn't see the mods' posts, they'd still see yours. But you should try that whole tapestry of obscenity thing!

If I can’t see something it may still exist?!? I may need to reevaluate several life decisions.

Ignoring doesn't work as well as I wished. It makes any thread involving the ignoree into a hot mess. If you are ignoring a flash in the pan user like the one who popped up today - no harm. If it's a regular contributor, not so much.
