They're heading our way. I think this will seal my Nobel Prize in Stick Picking Up. I'll be cautious about searching for my awards ceremony gown though. Don't want to jix it.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

I could swear I heard the classic "freight train" sound of a tornado last night, which is extremely rare in the mountains. No sign of anything like that this morning. At least within my quarantine yard.

Weezie, we had a bunch overnight, somewhere around an inch and a half of rain here, wind, and some rumbles. A lot of small branches down in my neighborhood, but nothing major. Fortunately, the yard I turned over and reseeded is still there.

Round two is supposed to come through mid-day.

Meant to add, this site is frequently interesting when the weather gets interesting. You can drill down to the county level.

I know people in Connecticut who have lost power due to the winds. Though they thought it was only 20+ mph or so at the time.

No music in my head this morning, but a thought.

Chocolate chip pancakes, good combo or just a veiled excuse for a chocolate chip delivery system?

This thought aligns with my contention that french fries no longer fried in lard like the old days, are not merely a ketchup delivery system.
