Yes, he said Roach told him the things he liked and didn't like. Honesty.

Great pickup to fill the void left by Steward. Should improve our shooting which is sorely needed. Now we focus our attention on retaining our current guys and maybe hitting up the portal for another guard.

Just watch a highlight video of him. He seems to be a very below the rim type player. He barely gets off the ground on his layups and looks like he's barely able to dunk. Also looked a bit slow. Anyone know of his lack of athleticism is a weakness of his? Or did I just watch a video where he was conserving it?

Is it too much to ask

    can Keels right the ship?

Seriously, I'm glad he's coming to Duke.

Yes it's a nice change. Welcome Mr. Keels!

I’m hoping he can play a role similar to Kerwin Walton for the CHeats this past season - hit open threes to keep the defenses honest when they double in the post. We shouldn’t expect too much out of him but thankfully we shouldn’t need too much given the guys we’ll have around him. And yeah, defense is always a question mark with these highly ranked freshmen.

I was worried Keels committing might lead to a Roach transfer. I didn't realize they were friends. Glad to hear it. This may explain DJ going pro. It certainly softens the blow.

Great get for us! Quite a busy last week or so.

    1) Brakefield transfers
    2) Goldwire transfers
    3) Tape transfers
    4) Nate James gets Austin Peay Job
    5) DJ Steward declares for NBA
    6) Trevor Keels commits

Fingers crossed we get one more with Baldwin

Keels said he played four years with Roach and they practiced together. I guess he may have played with him before high school.

More diverse scorer but likely not the same defender

Trent is arguably a better comp.

Is he, perchance, “alarmingly unathletic”? It’s worked for us before!
