    I second this.

My hope is that Mtn Devil's username eventually exceeds the length limit in the DB for that field.

Historically, it used to be Mountain_Devil_91_92_01

After some alterations, it was required to be shortened. I would have zero problem being required to change it again.

...that moment when you realize it might not have been the greatest idea to ask a room full of 7th grade creative writers to look up the (LITERARY!!!) term "climax," and welp, that ship has sailed and I hope it doesn't founder on those rocks.

In your literary opinion - are the critical point and the climax the same thing? Personally, I think they can be, but the terms are not exactly interchangeable, otherwise I would suggest the switch to the term critical point for next year's class.

Pretty sure the 12 year-olds won't find fault with whatever nuance might exist between the two.
I'll likely stick with "climax," as it's easily the more familiar and accessible term, although my above (100% true) anecdote might provide a counterpoint to my thinking.

Wait until they start to understand "falling action" that immediately follows.

Your 7th graders found that funny? I’m suddenly feeling marginally pubescent.

There was a snicker or two and a wide-eyed expression here and there as they explored the multiple definitions, but thankfully, the pot didn't boil over, so to speak.
