Very few babies are that big when they are born. It's more common if the mother has gestational diabetes. I didn't, so, super unusual. If you having a high risk pregnancy and you are planning a home birth, make sure your midwife has experience with high risk pregnancies. Ok, that's two pieces of advice. I'll stop.
