Saturday will be town number 47 (out of 351). I think I've posted about the Mass 5k Challenge I came up with a few years ago, right? I'm trying to run a 5k or longer in every city and town in Massachusetts.

Impressive. A play, a serious exercise goal with impressive progress, a mission.

    Now I am discouraged.

Dunno. I should probably check. As long as it's above 20 degrees, I'll be good. I know from experience that it's not a good idea for me to run when the start time temperature is under 20 (Fahrenheit).

Saturday's race is in Haverhill. It's about an hour drive for me.

Just checked the weather - it's supposed to be 30 degrees. Cold but not too bad. I'll wear a tech shirt and a fleece during the race.

Unless you've spent time around here (Massachusetts or more generally New England), you probably aren't saying Haverhill correctly.

A very good friend of mine from Duke, Jon Shain, is from there. Those in NC should go see him play:

I’m in Georgia now. Cairo is “CAY-ro.” Louisville is “Lewis-ville.”
