Well I do love those 2. I hate awards shows and parades. I can't figure out if that is normal or not.

Every once in a while I see something and think, "man, I really hope s/he/it/they are recognized for this wonderful work". In those cases, I might have a rooting interest in an awards show. I like the monologue and sometimes presenters have nice bit. And, if the PwC debacle is always a possibility, well...

But, yeah, award shows are generally a drag. I do like parades where I can sit on the side of a sandy road and drink bloody mary's. My mom made me go to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on a very cold day in the early 1990s and people in the building above kept hurling chunks of bagel into the crowd.

    Scoop there it is!

FWIW, GEICO's rating structure is out of date and overly simplistic. But then so is my company's.

It is supposed to be simple enough a caveman can understand it.

We'd gained 100 or so but they've surged and cut in by about 50. Still under 2,000.

Getting to the age where you are more likely to go to a funeral than a wedding is a very weird thing.

Yes, but hopefully not your own funeral.

    Maybe more procrastinating than fighting.

Time is a blueblood. Frequently a #1 seed.

bracing ourselves, wind chills of -25 tomorrow morning, 50 mph winds, oh what a beautiful morning! Spring looms. I have suspended outdoor grilling for the day, going with pork tenderloin has on the stove top...that is all.

Perfect opportunity for char siu, but it is more of an accompaniment rather than a main course.
