We lived with host families and stayed in hotels and hostels when traveling. Places with real bathrooms. But I saw potty holes in different areas . . . like a theater! Thought you would like that. It was a hole in the floor with a footprint on either side and a curtain around it. I opted to risk peeing myself.

One holers and questions about jalapeno poppers. The post war may rage on but holy moly how about some gentle discretion?

Jeebus I don't feel so good.

Man alive do I wish Duke Basketball would come back.

I visited Rome in '74. The hotel had 1 bathroom per floor. I swear the toilet paper was so unprocessed that it still had splinters. Was not Charmin.

No, I've got a better idea - what's the name of your favorite bar, past or present.

    (Besides the Hideaway.)

My favorite bar is a place near us called Twain’s. It’s an almost-every-Friday thing for my wife and me, plus a friends and family gathering spot, plus New Year’s Eve a lot of years...we even had our rehearsal dinner there.

Detroit: The Olde Shillelagh. A fine establishment where nobody cares what your name is, just order your drink and move it along.

    Boo-yah.

The King George was a brew-pub in Augusta in the early ‘90’s practically next to the office, and a bunch of us went there regularly after work. James Brown was in there a lot when he was not on tour and I had several chances to talk to him there (a super friendly guy). Good beer, good times. I felt good.

My favorite Irish bar in Boston back in my single days was a place called The Midnight Court. Great music and named after an Irish folklore tale that I like.

Now, I don't really have a bar that I go to regularly. Apres theater, it depends on the theater group, but more often than night, when out late with theater types, we go to a Chinese place.

My favorite bar name in the States is at Fells Point in Baltimore: “The Horse You Came In On Saloon.”
