Saturday night in Durham I had fried okra at Bullock's with some hand pulled spicy BBQ. Yeeee-ha! You can't get fried okra in CT unless you make it yourself. Why doesn't Bullock's serve beer?

And now that one of the pubs most entertaining regulars is gone, it also hurts the overall atmosphere of the pub. No one was as entertaining as EJ, NO ONE. I came to the boards during some of my lowest moments to find something he'd written knowing it would cheer me up. Mind you, I also come here for just about any other reason as I enjoy the camaraderie we have created. But today, the quality and camaraderie of the board is diminished.

Well said, Tilly. I happen to agree with the mods that EarlJam can be a bit, um, prolific at times. But I defy anyone to convince me that the boards are a better place without him.
