Impressive that FSU has stayed in the game this long

Somehow we have secured at least a tie in the final (for now) challenge.

    Purdue has a Duke hangover.

ACC up 7-4 and Notre Dame up big early on Michigan State. Now I can pull wholeheartedly for UNC to get blown out

Crazy but great for the conference and Dukes schedule strength

It's not much different than we had last year in Columbus. You travel across country on the weekend after a huge win, go home for 24 hours, and then make another regional flight.

Leonard Hamilton, despite his recent record, will be missed by FSU. I am speculating that he might retire at the end of the year. He's 74.

I read an amazing article on him last spring. He's quietly amassed a very good career. It would be a shame for this to be his final season.

Notre Dame defeats Michigan St. by 18. An unexpected, pleasant surprise!

With 3 minutes left, Carolina has shot 25 free throws. Indiana has shot 8.

Refs did everything in their power to keep the CHeats in it, but they still fall by 12. Looked good in the process. Their basketball team has lost three in a row with @VT ahead. Their football team has lost two in a row and will face Clemson next. It's a great day to be... anybody but a tar heel.

Most of you will be aware that there is some skepticism around here that academic standards for Heel athletes are, um, standard. So here’s an interesting tidbit: Final exams begin this Friday on the Hill, continue on Saturday, and then continue next week.

Tidbit-wise, it’s interesting because the Heel basketeers visit the Hokies on Sunday.

Isn’t it a shame that the ACC couldn’t close out the Big 10 challenge with a win. Poor Tarheels, on a 3 game losing streak - bless their hearts.

    Hubert's goodbye gift
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Surprised not more comments on here on the UNC-Indiana game. If you didn't see it, Carolina was . . . um . . . how do I say this? Carolina stunk, folks. They were very very fortunate to remain in the game as long as they did, as closely as they did. They were completely outclassed all night long. Indiana dominated them in the paint. Carolina didn't guard anybody. Their offense was almost all one-on-one, with tons of bad shots. They ran almost nothing. Most disturbingly for them, they just didn't play hard. Indiana competed much harder than UNC did, in a marquee game where they were coming off two losses.

Bacot hurt his shoulder, and was grabbing at it all night. But Trayce Jackson-Davis was clearly just the better player in the paint last night. And Indiana's freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino was an active and aggressive shotmaker from the outside. He looked super.

Hubert has a lot to work on with this group. If they lose to the Hokies in Blacksburg next, they'll probably drop from #1 to out of the polls in a span of two weeks. Impressive.

What's to work on? They have as much returning experience as almost any team in the country. This is who they are. They stunk most of last year until they caught some breaks and got lucky in the NCAA Tournament.

I agree with this. Carolina looked completely discombobulated. Their guards consistently threw up terrible shots. And Bacot didn’t look 100%, although he still manages to set screens like an offensive lineman despite never fouling.

If not for the foul and free throw disparity, Carolina would have been down by 20 for most of the night. In both halves, Carolina was in the bonus before they were ever called for their 4th foul.

    Pitt wins at NCSU.

NCSU looks like the stink this year.

    Keatts on the hot seat?
