No takers on the <$100K Scottish island. How about a $48.5M Aspen estate w/ knock-out views?

There's also this 105,000 sq. ft house in the LA area that was expected to for $500 million but defaulted on $165 million of debt. I bet you can get a good deal on it. This one, the Aspen house and the Scottish island would make a great trio!

There is a 45+/- Sq. Mi. ranch now on the market. It is in northern New Mexico and abuts to the south side of Ted Turner's "BIG" ranch out there. It can be yours for about $2,000 per acre at $96,000,000. You get room to roam.
Give me an island for that price. Here's the property, btw: https://www.bizjournals.com/albuquer...6-million.html
Ted Turner used to be the largest private landowner in the US. No more, he's down to 3 or 4, IIRC.
I like this style home for desert landscapes.
Here is a slightly dated list - John Malone 1, Turner 2. Those are some huge numbers.
I didn't know about Turner's land until someone made the connection with his restaurant chain.
My family of four lives in a 1300 sq. ft. NYC apartment, so I'm pretty far down the list.

Interesting list. Not surprising to see a lot of old Western families on it. Several from my youth in Texas ring a bell. The Bass family was big in the DFW area and the King Ranch family is pretty well known. Interestingly, there's a sizable preserve in Chester County, PA where we live now that used to be King Ranch land. They used it as a "finishing school" for cattle headed to plates in East Coast city restaurants. They'd send the cattle out here and let them fatten up on the grass for a bit before shipping them by train to slaughter houses in Philly, Baltimore, DC, NYC.
Y'all been going stir crazy during the pandemic?
I’d like to be the Italian Bruce Wayne and live here.

That is pretty incredible - it looks like it is actually quite close to a densely populated area, not in the middle of nowhere. That being said, my thoughts are:
1) No above ground pool, then I'm not buying
2) I can only imagine the wrath my two active sons would bring upon a place like that
3) I assume there is a way to enter from the street other than walking up that huge flight of stairs?
4) The description below is great - there are two adjacent guesthouses, one of which is used for laundry - who has that much laundry? And there is a small unconsecrated chapel that can be turned into a media room? Sounds interesting
