Are you suggesting that losing your pets is easier as you get older? God I hope that is true, but my life hasn't taught me as such.

I too was a bit baffled by that post. Maybe an attempt at ribald humor?

VBS is complete. After the kids were picked up and the decorations rearranged, various volunteers and any associated kids went for pizza. The kids spent any time not eating watching the pizzas being made, complete with tossing of the dough. It may be my favorite part of the week. A few of us may have had a beer to go with the pizza.

I was assuming so, but my mind goes off traditional paths fairly easily.

I remember going to Shakey’s back in the day just so we could watch.

Hold my beer Ymo, I'm going in.

How dare they accuse the Commodore of Fun of not being so!!!

Can William Gibson’s Jonny Mnemonic be far behind?

I must admit, security and privacy issues aside, this kind of augmentation is a benefit I would consider.

Hey now, this is a family friendly thread...what was I reading about?

A brief reprieve from the heat the next couple of days. Then, back to being as hot as ... by the weekend.

Sometimes I can be envious of people who are quite naturally the "Commodore of Fun". In most such situations, I am usually "Beer Holding Wingman."

In real life I’m more like the stick in the mud formed when the wingman spilled some beer.

Kids at UVM when I was in Burlington were all about skiing, beer, and, uh, other relaxation techniques. I didn't see a lot of studying going on. Your kids sound grounded and focused. *high five*
    Thank you.

A day without posting? That's like a June day in South Central Texas that isn't 93 degrees or hotter. Oh, wait, it was only 79 here in San Antonio you say...

It's been so beautiful here in the DelMarVa that I feel guilty!
Of what I can't figure out but I'm sure there's a reason I don't deserve this nice weather.

I did not watch the Stanley Cup final, but it was kinda nice that a non-Boston area team won it. Since, I don't live thereany more and all...

Started smoking two pork butts at 4 am this morning, for no other reason than it is gonna be a glorious weekend. And, I really wanted to try. Few new techniques/tweaks.

Such pretty, pretty puffs of white smoke as I await the dawn.
