The festival is called Six in the City and it was supposed to be for NC, SC, TN, GA, and VA playwrights only. I emailed them and asked if being born and raised in Durham made me eligible. I also told them I had a very North Carolina - centric play and they said sure, send it in, so that was nice of them.
Sending vibes to those who make the selections!!

I have a headcold. I've taken dayquil for the headcold.

I am now somewhat loopy, and can't do much more than stare at my computer screen.

At what point do I give up on work, and leave to go shopping for Mr. DA's b-day tomorrow?

Right now! Tell Mr. DA happy birthday!

I'm siding with those who say now and happy birthday to Mr. DA. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the head cold!

Why do they let other teams play before us? I know they have the seedings and all...but really.

Exactly. We went for Mexican tonight and Ezmarellda had 2 ginormous margaritas. How will we ever last until 9:30, I ask?

Smile Thankfully, we are no longer with Comcast...

... and so I'll be watching it on the 360!

So glad not to be watching the Slowsky's!

Is it just me, but does the ambience at the GaDome just stink? Loads of empty seats, upper deck gone, weird sight lines. Ycch! Why not Philips Arena?

    Cheers,
    Lavabe

    The lure of more seats?

It's past 9 PM, what are these other teams still doing on our court?

Thanks, Ladies - I'll pass the b-day wishes on to Mr. DA!

I went with your advice - sort of. I went out and bought cake mix & frosting for Mr. DA, plus some ice cream treats for my crew at work. Went back to work, spread joy and ice cream amongst my peeps, then left.

Was able to get the cupcakes in the oven before the 12min. tv timeout.

    Margaritas sound good - hmmm.

Margaritas might not help the head cold, but after a couple you won't care!

    Another anti-jinx?

My DVR quit recording the game at 10:30 - with 52 (IIRC) seconds left in the game. I frantically went back live, but the darn thing wouldn't let me rewind to see the end of the game. After figuring out that I wouldn't be able to watch the end, I pulled up DBR to see the score. Whew! I then went to ESPN play-by-play to read the transcript for the plays that I missed. So, all, does this mean that I can't watch the end of the game any more?

No. It does not. Not unless the a weird thing happens to your DVR two games in a row, then it's a streak and you don't mess with a streak.
