With a dry cool wit like that you could be an action hero.

Watching the women's volleyball national championship game. This is great television. I'm fired up.

The daughter of a good friend from high school committed a week or so ago to play for Baylor. I think she graduates in 2023 however.

Don't you hate when you open up your cupboard only to realize you're the only snack in the house?

Interesting. I don't recall eating a freaking legend.

Some of you may understand this. Some may not. I just had a mental breakdown watching Emmet Otter.

Probably doesn't have the same effect if you aren't raised on it.

Agreed. I don't know how I missed that one. Huge Christmas cartoon fan.

Anyone else watch Dopesick on Hulu? I'm halfway through.

I work in the pharma industry so I have a particular interest. Some really crazy stuff.

We’re at the midway point. I assume the broad strokes are true and, yes, it’s a pretty damming portrayal of a company “creating a market”. There was a thread on here a while ago about McKinsey’s role in the strategy creation and it was pretty galling, too.

I work an industry with a mixed track record for corporate malfeasance. It’s tough sometimes- you know the products created are capable of great good and improving life but also capable of great harming the appropriate due diligence isn’t undertaken or some level of ethical decision making applied.

Hopped on the Pitt bandwagon when the brackets came out. Went out to Pittsburgh for the early rounds. They disposed of Penn State (inexplicably held at the sterile Pete instead of Fitzgerald Field House). Then took down Purdue at a rocking, sold-out Fitz. Mrs. Turk still plays pickup and in leagues, and my eldest Swee'Pea played on their club team, until the drama and time commitment became too much. I suggested going out to Columbus for the Final Four, but Mrs. Turk is too pragmatic for whimsical sport-related road trips.
