It is crazy how competitive the fields are now. 31 players are within 5 shots and 40 are within 6. It is a grind to win on the PGA- any of those 40 could go -8 and win tomorrow…

It will be interesting tomorrow. It should feel a little colder tomorrow and cloudy (today we had sun for a couple hours). And the wind should pick up tomorrow, which makes the course trickier.

Streelman picked up his 2 strokes on the last 3 holes. I stayed with Alex’s group for those holes because it seemed Streelman was having a mediocre round. Darn..wish I had stayed to watch Kevin birdie the 18th!

His shirt was actually very dark navy blue…the photo makes it look lighter than it was. I hope he wears Duke Blue tomorrow.

She's tied for the lead at -15 going into Sunday at the CME Group Tour Championship.

It’s raining in sea island, but the rain should stop just before the first tee time. The wind is now not expected to be too bad, but it will still be cold. Without wind though, the scoring should be good. Too bad Streelman and Smalley are not in the same threesome!

Leona and Ko still tied after 3 holes T -15. However, Celine is going nuts today (-5) and has moved onto 3rd place at -10 after 3 holes. Doubt she catches the co-leaders, but fun to watch. On NBC later.

Twosomes were never part of the plan. It was threesomes off both tees if there were 67+ players or threesomes starting early off tee#1 if they had 66 or fewer. Not sure what they did last week, but the earlier sunset (5:24) is the issue. They have to have time for a playoff if necessary. Leader group teed off at 11:06, so they might finish at 4:00 or so. They just don’t think twosomes would work…they have done it this way ever since the tournament moved to November. (And they have had playoffs multiple times in recent years.)

Smalley and Streelman need to start scoring if they want to have a chance. Lead is at -17…lots of players 5 and 6 under for the day so the course can be had. It is cold but not windy. Smalley currently -13, 1 under for the day. Streelman is 3 over for the day at -9.

Alex finishes the early part of the season very well with a T11, T4, and T5. He's right on the cusp of a win. I hope he keeps up the momentum when they come back in 2 months.

Leona didn’t play great today but neither did Ko. The par 5 14th really cost Leona. She was 270ish out with her second shot and decided to layup. She mis-hit the lay up shot into the water. She did managed to save bogey. Ko also somehow hit her layup in the water and bogeyed it as well. Had Leona parred or birdied that hole, I believe she would have won the tournament. It seemed like she was always chasing.
