Welcome to the party, Pal !!!

Welcome to Duke, Sean!
With this insane flurry of signings since Scheyer took over, I wonder if those of you who follow recruiting closely can identify any key differences in the approach Jon is taking vis-a-vis K. Obviously, we are not inside the process, but it seems like maybe guys are committing earlier? Am I imagining that? There just seems to be a wild flurry of action. Could the options of Overtime Elite and other opportunities be making our signings more urgent?
Can a program have too many versatile forwards?
(well, perhaps, but some are moving on after 1 year)
This commitment and others for the Scheyer program have got to cause general frustration and gnashing of teeth in Chapel Hill and Lexington, KY.
A good thing, indeed.
Good to see Scheyer continuing to land his guys. Recruiting is half the battle, and it certainly doesn't seem like we're falling off in that department in the near term.
Love the Another One video for each of these commitments. But I want a video of Cal and Hubert both saying “Another one” with a sad head shake. That would be a nice touch.
And even more exciting (or equally exciting) was that he said, “I want to spend my four years in college at Duke.”

For those who do not know, Sean's family certainly has a decent sized nest egg. Sean's father, Michael "Yogi" Stewart, played for 9 years in the NBA with the Kings, Celtics, Raptors, Cavs, and Hawks. He was a sorta fringe rotation player for most of his career, known largely for his shot blocking prowess. He was able to sign a really nice contract early on and made over $25 mil during his career. Assuming he invested decently, the family is probably in quite good shape today.

Mixing in a balance of multi-year guys definitely sounds like a good plan, as we don’t want Scheyer to be completely restocking his roster every season. Love the early commit and what Stewart had to say. We are so spoiled by this continuity of recruiting success.
“I love it. Coach, when we came here, we had a three-hour meeting about the core values. If you really represent the core values, it means diving on the floor, sacrificing your body for your teammates, no matter how much you’re up by or how much you’re down by, always playing hard.” -- Zion
