Wow, this is just all kinds of wrong: https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...oss-california

Southern Utah coach Todd Simon said "gymnastics" at the scorer's table cost his team in a 75-68, double-overtime loss to California on Thursday.

The chaos started when Jason Spurgin, a 6-foot-11 center, got fouled and went to the free throw line with his team up 41-34 at the 14:02 mark of the second half. Spurgin made both free throws, per the Pac-12 Network's footage of the game. But he was credited with only one free throw. Southern Utah then had a 42-34 lead, although it should have been 43-34.

Simon said he tried to correct the error at the scorer's table but couldn't get officials to reverse the mistake.

Zach Edey and Travion Williams split time at center for them. They literally never play together. Combined, they are averaging 30.1ppg, and 16.5 rpg with 4.0 apg and 2.8 blocks per game... oh, and they shoot well over 70% from the floor.

No offense to Mark and Theo, but that is the best center tandem in college hoops.

I'm all for UNC being terrible for a year or two. That being said, we shouldn't get too cocky with our own coaching transition happening in less than 5 months.

My sincere hope is that Hubert Davis consistently has UNC ranked in the 15-25 range and the occasional Elite 8 appearance. Do just enough to be considered a good coach without ever getting the Final 4 or having a winning record against Duke. The longer he does that, the more agonizing it will be for Carolina fans. Their own version of Jim Harbaugh.

Does anyone else feel like the title, "Cheez-It Hall of Fame Tip-Off" is a contradiction in terms.

    Kindly,

Interesting. My sincere hope is that UNC has a losing record every year for the remainder of their existence, never again making the Tournament.

I'd say UNC belongs in the Cheez-It Hall of Fame.
