"No ABV. No IBU." That's from Untappd. And here I thought I was quoting a legitimate, respected, reliable on-line source and not some random/questionable twitter account. Silly me.

Bought the lime too. Passed on the grapefruit. Did get The Better Half.

True. Picked up some DFH Slightly Mighty to go with the RecAle. I don’t want to fall out of the kayak!

    Hardywood at West Creek

First visit today. What a beautiful place/venue. Only 20-25 minutes from my house; I'd be proud to have my daughter marry there and have her reception as well. Not sure the wife would agree It's amazing. Guessing about 150-200 folks there at noon today and about to host a frat/sorority mixer under the tent. Inside there's a stage and room for hundreds if not a few thousand. Color me impressed. Very, very incredible; think I read it has 55,000 square feet, inside and out.
Had a Mexican amber ale and a BBQ sandwich today, and moved on.
Enjoyed their Fightin' Hokies Lager last night.

    Hardywood Peach Triple

I've had this in the fridge for a few days and decided to sample tonite.

    From Hardywood:
    https://hardywood.com/beer/peach-tripel/

    I'm sampling now.
This is such an enjoyable beverage, very smooth and drinkable. Hazy pour, about a two finger head in my 16 ounce mug. Plenty of peach taste.
    IBU is 25 I think.
    .

Bought ingredients today to brew a Blue Moon knockoff beer, challenged by a friend He doesn't think I can replicate it. I can and will.

Will be my first brew in a few years, love the challenge!!

Will save some for a Duke Football tailgate in the fall!

I and the wife are tuition-free now, so the next I'm in Durham for Fball tailgate I'm brining brew on me

Wow, this has mellowed with age. Everything is subtle now. Less boozy. Less spicy. Really good, but it has aged into a beer that make you think. Fascinating.

    Local for the buying guy.

    Credit-Nrrrrvous; thanks!!
    Style-flavored amber ale
    Format-12 ounce can
    Stemware-boring pint glass
Appearance-clean and dark amber with minimal foam
    Nose-brown sugar
    Mouthfeel-soft
    Tastes-glazed pecans, toasted bread
    Adjuncts-roasted pecans and sugarcane
    IBU-20
    ABV-5%
Overall impression-very tasty pairing with some NC Brunswick stew
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2; would pair nicely with beef/pork/BBQ entrees

Fond memories of that from the past, especially a pint of it from the Hardywood kiosk at the Flying Squirrels game a couple summers ago.

Yep. Always good to do that before posting.

That's one of the early GBS variants and a damn good one, too. I may have one left but thinking it's 2019, but, I could have a 2018 and a 2019.

Not to go all “advanced metrics,” but I’m about 80% certain I am drinking 2018 and have a 2019 still laying down. The other 20% is that it’s 2019 and 2020.

I wouldn't be surprised with any/all the above scenarios as that's one that has not been a GBS Complete Set exclusive and has likely been available in NC for several years.
