So much depends on getting Wohlabaugh back and 100 percent healthy. The trend lines are positive but he has been injury prone the last few years. Graham Barton seems to have made a positive impression at left tackle. But he's a sophomore and was recruited to play guard. If Wohlabaugh can go and Barton can hold down LT, then Duke can move Holman to guard, with McIntyre, while keeping Monk at RT. And build some depth with young OL like Carr, Gelotte, Wroten, et. al.

Will Will Taylor and Leitten be able to contribute? Can a career backup from Abilene Christian actually contribute at the ACC-level?

There is potentially a decent OL somewhere in there. But a lot of things have to go right and Duke football hasn't been in the lots-of-things-going-right-business lately.

I wonder if freshman Andrew Jones, OL(3*) is being redshirted this season. I looked at the roster on the Duke website and he's not listed. Andrew is an 6'4", 255 lb. OL from Reagan High School, Pfafftown, NC. He was offered by App State, Ill, Costal Carolina, Elon and Wake. His rankings as OL in the state: ESPN #47, Rivals #42, Max Prep #31. His uncle is former Duke star, Randy Jones. If I'm not mistaken his senior season at Reagan was cancelled due to Covid.

Most, if not all, NC high schools are playing football this spring, including Reagan. I don't know if he's playing, but the team is currently 2-3.

He's not playing offensive line at 255. He'll need a couple of seasons in the weight room to even be in the mix.

His Mom told me he was listed as OL/TE. 255 is good for a TE but not OL.

Duke gets a special teams kind of guy, meanwhile Michigan State grabbed Drew Jordan from us. That's a bad trade...losing him, Tangelo and Waters to transfers is a bad, bad development

Since the early 2000s, all sports EXCEPT football had "merit aid" for athletes. Then, in 2016 football was included.

I keep tabs on that league every now and then since my parents lived in Lewisburg, PA for a few years, home of Bucknell. They actually had a decent basketball team at the time.

Bucknell - one of the Killer Bs for KU Basketball. Not well liked in this area.

Duke's home football game against North Carolina A&T, originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11., will be played Friday, Sept. 10 at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

I have very low expectations that Duke will not screw this up. Introducing a new parking crew is always a cluster, and doing so on a Friday when time is crunched is a recipe for disaster. Add in the fact that those poor folks will have been out longer in the heat than us fans will have been, and tempers will be up. Good things don't happen when the parking folks aren't happy.
