Thread: Ymm, Beer

Our classic Pacific Northwest-style India Pale Ale returns.
Rustic, piney hops (Simcoe, Eureka!, Citra) speak to the Pacific Northwest. Local barley (Epiphany Craft Malt, Riverbend Malt House) brings it all home.

Excellent DIPA, enjoyed positively by said daughter. Devildeac? RJ ? Thanks.!

Pretty sure that was mine. You're welcome. Your daughter is a really great beer fan/critic. Delighted it met her approval.

    Might only be on draft, but if in cans/bottles, I’m in the same boat as dd. {Cue OPK’s “I knew it!!” here.}

Rowing on the same side, too, which provides a reasonable explanation of why we never get anywhere here on Ymm, Beer in that we're all pulling in the same direction.

    Thanksgiving weekend six-pack line-up:

Terrapin Recreation Ale (two) — perfect for kayaking.
Hi-Wire Zirkufest Oktoberfest Lager — new to me, but promises to be “malty and crisp” so seems to fit the season
Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale — pairs well with turkey
Stone Delicious IPA — haven’t had it, but didn’t see the new Enjoy By and Stone never disappoints.
Oskar Blues Can-O-Bliss IPA — also great for kayaking after the two Recreationals.

    Have a great holiday, y’all.

Zirkusfest and the Maduro Brown are both very good. I haven't had the others.

On behalf of dd, ClemmonsDevil, and myself (which is to say "me, myself, and I"), Happy Turkey Day to the PK's everywhere!

I first read this as “list of 6-packs for Thanksgiving weekend.“

I’ll let others decide for themselves, but I’m going to stick with the idea of OPK in a tandem kayak - one seat for him and the other for 36 beers.

You know, of all the breweries in Richmond, I still haven't stopped by their east coast brewery. I hear nothing but good things about them. I think I had their Tangerine Express IPA once, if I recall.

Actually, that's what I thought also. I just figured he was looking to have a really great weekend!

I’m going to assume Duke is a giant of a dog and that is a full size keg.

Just clicked that Bell's doesn't distribute to Washington and now I'm sad. Their Winter White (now Bright White) is one of my favorite seasonals.
