Two other beers I enjoyed in Hawaii:

CoCoWeizen - Honolulu Beerworks - 5.5% ABV - Coconut hefeweizen. As a hefe and coconut lover, this was a match made in heave. Paired well with the typical banana hefeweizen flavors.

La Perouse White - Maui Brewing Company - 5.2% ABV - Can claimed this was a special release. Not sure what that entails for Maui. Brewed with coriander and local citrus. Get more of the coriander than I anticipated, but well balanced overall.

I really liked the CoCoWeizen as well. Tasty. And the Golden Sabbath that you reviewed earlier was also a Hawaii favorite.

    Stella Heads-Up

Short notice, but Stella is having a Hardywood GBS tasting event from 4:00-6:30 pm tonight. Too bad I’m still in Texas ...

I'll be right down the road from them Saturday. Anything going on then that you know of?

    Austin teaser

Jester King is too far away (20’ish miles, in the wrong direction), but have ended up at Central District. More to follow.

Texas is huuuuuuge. Enter the state from LA on I-10 and you are at mile marker 899!

    Fullsteam Strenna blonde “stout”

Loads of sweet vanilla. The un-stout.

So good I had another half pint after I finished the flight.

    Fullsteam Kerner

    A hazy rye IPA.

Different. In a vacuum, might be great. Compared to the other Fullsteam beer tonight, excellent but not in the right league.

    Fullsteam Brett Lager

The pint in between the flight and the half pint of Strenna.

A lovely sweet tart of a beer. Smooth and easy drinking.

    Fullsteam First Frost

Not a beer I’ve been a huge fan of, tonight it was quite nice.
Maybe persimmons are growing on me?

Fairly complex and yet easy sipping.

    Fullsteam Bananas Froster

Check out http://fullsteam.ag for the full story.

Essentially what would have been a bad batch of First Frost becomes something much greater (imo) by accident.

Lots of banana and cinnamon. My favorite of the evening.

    Fullsteam Igor Cake

    Cherry, chocolate, kirsch.

A very different beer than prior Igors.

Really nice, one of three dessert beers tonight between it, Bananas Froster, and Strenna.

    Hey, dessert first, right? 🍻

Another dessert beer. Three Notched BBA Biggie S’mores Stout. 10.8% abv, 40ibus. Made with 80 boxes of graham crackers, roasted barley. Sweet imperial stout. Not nearly the S’more taste I got from the Hardywood fluffer nutter, but smooth and tasty. High end 2, probably a 3 except I had the fluffer nutter. Well worth the 4-pack purchase.

Did you get a 4 pack when you left?

Fuse, is that you in the background wearing some leaves and branches?
