I keep hearing Corona beer sales haven't been hurt at all lately. If so, more proof that "there's no such thing as bad PR" or whatever that saying is.
Maybe mentioned this before but ages ago I went to a Bad Beer Bash party which was run like the 64-team NCAA tournament. The goal wasn't actually to find the worst beer, but the best unpopular beer. Stuff you never heard of - but this was long before that scored you hipster points. It was more a sign that it was likely nasty stuff. But the tournament sought to find the diamonds in the rough. I don't recall who made the Final Four but some of the "bids" went to names like Knickerbocker and [Red White and Blue].

Moonlighter IPA
Druid City Brewing Company
7.3% ABV
Local? Extremely, for my present location
Dark amber, round mouth, smooth finish
A really enjoyable beer, especially after moving furniture and storage stuff on a hot day.
Actually, I think I put this in the wrong thread. This is very tasty.

Blood Orange Double IPA (with hot wings, Alabama white BBQ sauce, and a subversive Duke mask)
Black Warrior River Brewing Co.
ABV 8.6%
Local? At the moment, yes
Orange/amber, some bite on the middle-back arch of the mouth.
More bite than smooth, but balances the wings.
Oh, wait — wrong thread again. Sorry.
Pivoting away from porters to enjoy the first Fullsteam Summer Basil of the season.
Ravioli with basil is going to make an excellent accompaniment for one of my favorite beers.
OPK seems to be having a great time in the deep south.
