Last week's Basketball & Beyond, the one featuring Mike Decourcy, had an extremely moving segment concerning K's 800th win. The producers of the show surprised K with an audio montage of tributes from his family, former players, friends, and many of the local beat writers (Cole, Chavez, Strickland, et al). I was listening to it on my iPod as I did the weekly grocery shopping and, let me tell you, I was getting choked up right in the middle of Aisle 7. To hear such a collection of great people speak so movingly about K reminded me how lucky we are to have him and how all his critics can stick it where the sun don't shine. Go to iTunes and download it for free - just make sure you've got the hankie nearby.
