    Clemson-Hammonds Breaks Hand

    According to this ESPN article, Clemson guard Cliff Hammond broke the wrist in his non-shooting hand in the Maryland game and may miss Thursday's Game. Another tough break for theTigers.

    really tough for the Tigers - Hammonds has been the glue for this team all season. May effect their seed in the NCAAs as well if he can't play (there's precedent for this - see Martin, Kenyon and Cincinnati 2000).

    Really, really tough luck for Clemson. Hammonds has had a very solid stretch run for the Tigers.

    Not sure how much we can take from Martin and Cincy. Martin was consensus national POY in 2000. When he broke a leg, the NCAA dropped Cincy from a likely one-seed to a two-seed.
