    Sutton's return

The biggest impact of Eddie Sutton's return is that it immediately drops Coach K from second to third in career wins among active coaches.

K (785 wins) was trailing only Bobby Knight (895 wins) after passing Lute Olson (I don't know if you'd count him as active or not, but Lute's now four wins behind Coach K and dropping back). Now Sutton (798 wins) takes over second place. He'll probably beat Coach K to 800 wins -- he'll be the fifth Division One coach to reach that milestone, taking some of the thunder away from Coach K when he reaches 800 later this season.

I'm sure K was still catch and pass Eddie Sutton on the alltime win list -- probably early next year -- but it's still a new challenge to meet.
